Monday, January 19th Northern Virginia
Community College will be closed to commemorate the life and the work of a
great civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Though every state in the
union now honors King, the creation and coordination of the holiday itself was a long and hard fought battle that NOVA students had a part in.
